Code.org

Okay, so my dad helped me set myself up on this site called code.org. Code.org is a place where you can learn computer coding, and at the end of the tutorials, you get to program your own game!!

I took the Star Wars computer programming (called the Hour of Code) and it was fun! You got to be BB-8, and program him to collect scrap junk on Jakku. Then you get to program Threepio to deliver messages to Rebel Pilots. Each little exercise code.org has you do has obstacles: stormtroopers, bandits, mynocks, etc. My sister and I both took this course and programmed our own Star Wars Game!

The Star Wars Hour of Code is rated ages 6-106.

Some of the downfalls is that you can only be Artoo-Detoo or See-Threepio. I took Artoo . And another disappointment is the game you program is a little too easy, you can try to make it hard but i couldn't figure it out. The last downfall was that you couldn't choose to be BB-8 when you get to create your very own game.

For the scene of your game you can pick Endor, Hoth, and the inside of a starship.

This is one of my sister's games: https://studio.code.org/c/229988995

You have to get all Pufferpigs, but avoid stormtroopers, mousedroids, and probedroids. If you get the obstacles (walls) you get docked points.

You can't get stormtroopers, probedroids, or a taun-taun. You need to get all rebel pilots.

All in all it was a fun experiance, and code.org has more Hour of Codes to try, such as: Frozen, Disney Infinity, Angry birds, Flappy Bird, Ice Age, and much more.

Try it! And when you finished making your game, give us your game link in the comments box below!! We'll try it!
